Hence they seek the help of automatic electronic and electrical appliances which have become very common nowadays. One such small job is watering the garden, lawn, trees. The appliance that is used here is the automatic water sprinkler. It consists of three main parts they are

The problem arises in the system mainly during the winter season. During the winter season the water freezes and this causes expansion which leads to cracks in the system. To avoid this a air compressor is used which removes the water from the system and also shuts off the water supply automatically and the control unit is also turned off.
The tasks that are involved in the maintenance of the automatic lawn sprinkler system are
- Check each sprinkler head and any exposed lines for damage from the winter.
- Check the water spray coverage for each sprinkler head
- Restart the control unit.
These precautions will ensure the durability of the water sprinkler.

Lawn is present in all houses. It serves as a place of recreation and also as the place where people relax themselves. A lawn which is maintained properly will attract many. There is no need of a gardener to maintain it as we can do ourselves. At the time of early spring rakes, debris and leaves of other trees fall on the lawn. All these wastes should be picked from the lawn as soon as possible as it will decline the beauty of the lawn. Mulch can be added around the trees and the shrubs. This will prevent the weeds and it will help in keeping the moisture around the trees and the shrubs.
The lawn should be thoroughly raked before applying the fertilizers to the lawn. The fertilizers will protect the lawn from the insect attack and it will also make the grass grow thicker and greenish. It also reduces the growth of the crab grass. All this maintenance should be done as soon as the spring starts. A grass cutting machine can also be employed to cut the extra grown grass. This will make the lawn look more attractive when the extra grass is cut off.

Garages are present in all houses. They are the most polluted part of a house as the movement of vehicles is more in the garage. This also leads to accumulation of a large amount of dust and dirt in the house. A garage usually has a very heavy door which also requires immense maintenance. The garage doors consist of the tracks rollers and hinges. These tracks, rollers and hinges are lubricated using oil. This oil collects the dirt. To remove this dirt a rag is used which has been dampened in paint thinner. Care should be taken while lubricating the door with oil, so that the oil does not spill over which will lead to more problems. If the oil has spilled it can be wiped off with a dry cloth.
The bolt and the screws in the door should be tightened well. The weather stripping at the bottom of the door should be inspected well to ensure that it is tightly sealed when the door is closed and does not allow ant dirt through it. Since air borne dust are more in the garage mask can be used while cleaning the garage. The dirt on the floor should also be cleaned frequently.

All modern kitchens are equipped with the dish washer. The dish washer is automatic equipment which is used for the purpose of washing the dishes. The dish washer consists of a electric heating element that heats the water at the bottom of the dish washer. Then it uses the rotating spray arms to create jets of water which swirl around the dishes to dislodge the food and grease. Any obstruction of the water’s flow will greatly reduce the dishwasher’s washing efficiency.
Over time a heavy film of scale builds on the inner walls due the hard water minerals which also get deposited on the heating elements. To remove this all the dishes, pans and silverware are removed from the dish washer and a table spoon of bleach is put in the dish washer and it is run for a full cycle. Other method is a cup full of white vinegar is poured in the dish washer and it should me to run a full cycle to remove the film. Cool drinks containing citric acid can also be used as an alternative for cleaning which is used to remove the hard water deposits and the scale from the dish washer.

Most of us never care about our ceiling fans which is so important. If it not maintained properly it could lead to disastrous effects. To maintain the efficiency and safety of the ceiling fan it is important for us to include it also in the house maintenance program. There are certain methods to take care of the ceiling fan they are as follows
The most daunting is the dust that settles in the fan from the surrounding air. These dusts are inhaled by us when we sit under the fan this might cause some health defects for us. To avoid this we should clean wipe the dust from the blades of the fan to ensure dust free air. The middle of the fan should be spinning and should not wobble. If it is out of balance it can be balanced with a balancing kit which is available in the hardware stores.
While taking lubrication into account it is not needed if your fan has “maintenance free double sealed ball bearings”. Most of the fans that are available now has this feature. If it does not have this feature then it should be manually lubricated through a hole which is present at the top. Ceiling fans should be inspected and cleaned at least once in a year for your safety.
